Municipality that is located in the eastern end of the Montes de Toledo as denoted by its name, which is a degeneration of the Arabic word “mount”, which means Monte. It seems that in its origin were two different settlements that ended unifying. It occupies an extension of 680 kms. Squares, with an altitude of 808 meters, and 42 kilometers from Toledo.
