Four Iberian lynxes from the European “Lynx Connect” program have recently been released in Toledo and Ciudad Real, the objective of which is to protect this endangered species. These four specimens were born last spring, so they are not yet one year old.
The males called “Relento” and “Rebento” come from the National Center for the Reproduction of the Iberian Lynx of Silves, in Portugal, and have been released in the municipality of Polán, in the Montes de Toledo.
“Rajada” and “Recife”, female and male, and originating from the same center, have been released in the municipality of Torre de Juan Abad, in Sierra Morena, in the province of Ciudad Real.
