Today we are going to talk about Las Navillas, a district of Menasalbas about 30 kilometers from the Rural House “Finca los Pajaros”, and one of those places characterized by its low population, less than seven dozen inhabitants.
It has a beautiful setting along the Cañada Real Segoviana, which runs along the course of the Marchés stream with crystal-clear waters. A leafy vegetation of oaks, ash trees, maples and Pyrenean oaks grows on its banks. This area is ideal for hiking, mountain biking, or simply taking a nice walk through nature.
Most of its few inhabitants are retired, the rest dedicating themselves to agriculture, livestock, or moving to work in nearby municipalities.
Despite its small size, there are monuments worth seeing, such as its Parish Church, built in the mid-20th century, and a set of anthropomorphic tombs carved into the rock, which we will find before entering the town, next to the Cañada Real.
